A Publication to Help Teachers use The Nature of Words Programs to Inspire Their Students

Calling All Teachers!

All of The Nature of Words (NOW) events and programs share the same goal: to assist elementary through college students with their writing skills and, in the process, increase awareness of the literary arts. The Teachers' Guide to NOW informs teachers about all the ways they can put The Nature of Words to work on behalf of their students and in their classrooms. Those opportunities include:

• The annual literary festival held the first week of November
• The Rising Star Creative Writing Competition for high school and college students
• NOW's Creative-Writing-in-the-Schools Programs
• The Storefront Project
• NOW's college and community education creative writing courses offered in collaboration with the Writing Ranch
